Sei Treu und Sei Gut

Yay missions! I love Germany! I love being a servant of the Lord and seeing these peoples lives change.

CHRISTIAN is rocking it!!! He is planning to be baptized on June 11th!!! And we have taught him everything but tithing. He is really changing his life to follow Christ. It just blows my mind the elaborate plan of our Heavenly Father and how we find his children. We talked to him outside of McDonalds in like February and he now has a testimony of Christ and is committed to the gospel. We met with him a lot this past week. We met with him Tuesday and talked about the Word of Wisdom and the only thing in his path between him and baptism and that is smoking. We talked about how wimple it is with the Lords help and the motivation of wanting to keep the commandments, so we went through his stuff and found all his lighters, like 26 of them! and took his ashtray and of course anything he had to smoke, he seemed excited and we told him the power of priesthood blessings, so on Wednesday he came to scripture class and sat with hany, hany pointed out to him where we were reading in the arabic BOM, haha. Then after scripture class we went into Ola and Ahmed's kitchen and talked a little bit more about the power of the Lord and what a preisthood blessing is and then Christian said the prayer and Ahmed gave him a beautiful blessing. After the blessing his face looked different, full of peace and comfort, you could see he was filled with the spirit. He did it! He quit and is keeping all the commandments. We met with him Thursday and taught him about the prophet and we asked him to pray to see for himself if Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and he said, well yeah but we all already know what the answer will be.. We also met with him Saturday and taught him the law of chastity, we talked to him with the aspect of the trust it builds in relationships and how it effects eternal families. He said this commandment sounded logical, and of course had no problesms with it, this guy is so prepared and one of the elect. Thinking the law of chastitiy is logical isnt usually a response from a 32 year old single guy! He is reading dilligently in the Book of Mormon, and his prayers are really meaningful and heartfelt, its so incredible to me to see these people change to find their faith and develop this faith and desire to return to our Heavenly Father and find lasting joy in this life too through the Gospel.

Also really great news with Hany! He got the aaronic priesthood yesterday! He was beaming and the whole branch was there when he was ordained. He is going to do great things as he continues growing in the gospel, sadly we havent been able to meet with him as frequently as desired but he luckily has the greatest friends, Ola and Ahmed who teach him and keep him motivated and loved in the gospel. He has such a big heart and it is so great seeing him become apart of the Eisenhüttenstadt branch/family. . . he is hoping to get the rights to have his children every other weekend and be able to bring them to church, yay 3 little kids to add to the primary!

Speaking of primary, we taught yesterday the 5 primary kids about cumbucas...do you know what a cumbuca is? Its an ape trap. When you put your hand in the hollowed out gourd theres a banana or something inside and when you're holding on to it you cant get your hand out...and then theyre stuck because they wont let go. So we made our own Cumbuca and had all the kids try to get free while holding the banana inside, didnt work. Satan also builds cumbucas and if we dont let go of the sin we are stuck and cant be free! ahh! So let go! and stay faithful and stay good. Thats what 'sei treu sei gut' means, we played the primary song for them and sang through it a few times, it was neat to hear the primary kids later in the day humming and sing the song to themselves...we also heard that little Josh told Schwester Schmidt the primary president about our lesson and asked if we could do it again next week. Yay! Love primary kids and love teaching the gospel in such basic terms. Thats seems to be the key, teaching deep doctrine but keeping it so simple that a child can understand it and so the spirit can testify. Im really excited to study the gospel with that in mind, to learn how to teach it simply but with all the important key points to help people convert to the Lord, to have deep deep roots growing quickly committed to following Christ, when that happens then these children of God stay and are committed to endure to the end. And thats the goal.

We are finding a lot of new people who have interest to learn more, every day we find someone new and make out an appointment, what an incredible plan our Heavenly Father has made for us. One of the most important things we need to do and strive to do daily is to remember we are a piece of that plan and he can/will guide our decisions and lead us on our paths, very clearly/obviously too! We just have to ask him and look for the signs he is giving us! Learning how to feel and follow the spirit is all we need to be successful and happy in this life, to live worth of it and feel it and follow it and be surrounded in light and lvoe of the Savior. Isnt it so incredible? There arent words to describe the Joy the gospel can bring and even better to bring that joy to someone else! I highly reccommend it, I commit you-dare you to talk to someone about your belief this week, at least live the gospel so magnificently some one will notice the light of Christ shining through you, wanting to know your secret of how you live life so well....have fun.

I sure love you and love this gospel, thank you for your love and prayers and support. They are much needed and strongly felt. Happy June this week? When did that happen?? Have some great starts to summer! We will too over here in our little poland boardering city of Frankfurt Oder :)

Machs gut!
